Shopena Supply joins Fisso at IMTS 2024

Shopena Supply joins Fisso at IMTS 2024

The International Manufacturing Technology Show, also known as IMTS, is a bi-annual event located in Chicago Illinois. It's an expo where industrial brands can show off their manufacturing machines, equipment, tools, and parts. This year, Shopena Supply joined Fisso and Rotec Tools in showcasing their product in the north building, booth 237223.

In addition to several indicator holders & bases, Fisso also showcased their run out tester (model RLPG 240/500, item: 6.300), grinding wheel balancing unit (model AWA 500/330 N, item 6.500), their new anyform magnet, and the worlds best cell phone holder. A LOT of people stopped by, and others almost broke their necks turning to admire the Fisso arms.

Our favorite attendee was a gentleman offering praise for Fisso & letting us know how much he loved his indicator holder. We asked him how long he had the arm for, and he told us he bought it 24 years ago! It's a great example of the longevity one can expect of Fisso arms. We even saw Fisso in the wild. Anca is a brand that makes CNC machines. While strolling by their booth we noticed a Fisso U-Line A-20 on one of their machines. See it below.

At the show Fisso announced an updated version of their Anyform magnet. It's a magnetic base that can screw into most of the indicator arms and connect to non-even surfaces. The base has much better staying-power than the previous version.

Attendees had tons of questions when they stopped by. Below we listed the most popular questions and their answers.

Q: Are Fisso arms worth the extra price?

A: Yes. Fisso is a brand people turn to when they're tired of their sub-par indicator holders becoming too wobbly or failing. They have an extremely long service life thanks to the superb build quality. They're Swiss made!

Q: Are Fisso arms mechanical or hydraulic?

A: Fisso arms are mechanical.

Q: How do they connect to a machine or workstation?

A: They connect via a threaded base, on/off magnet, pot magnet, vacuum base, granite base, or any form magnet.

Q: How do you make the arm go from movable to rigid?

A: Use the black knob. It usually takes less than half of a turn.

Shopena Supply offers about 130 Fisso products on their site. Any products not yet on the site can still be ordered via email or phone. Booth access was gracefully offered by Rotec Tools, a US distributor of Affolter CNC gear hobbing machines, Lehmann rotary tables, Maprox, Fisso and more. If you have any questions about Fisso please feel free to stop by the Fisso resource center or contact us.
