They allow linemen to climb poles, cut wires, add and remove hardware, skin electrical lines, and more. When the power goes out lives are put at risk so it's essential to get everything up and running as quickly as possible. When designing lineman tools, the goal is to increase worker efficiency, & safety while maintaining tool durability. Standard tools usually look similar, but are missing features found on the tools linemen use. Non-conductive components, easy-to-see colors, and specific shapes are just a few of these features.
