PCE Instruments was founded in the Hochsauerland district of Germany in 1999 by Hilmar Vielhaber, Jürgen Nöcker, and Falk Espen... The 3 engineers worked as process control engineering consultants in the pulp / paper industry, this is where they identified a demand for specialized test instruments and measuring equipment. In 2000 the business model chanced and the supply of measuring, laboratory, control and weighing technology became the main focus. Initially PCE only supplied some self-branded equipment and offered more from other manufacturers. Now they manufacturer 500+ instruments with applications in engineering, research and development, process control, and quality assurance. The products are used in countless industries including aerospace, bioengineering, computer science, Construction, electrical engineering, manufacturing, Military, robotics, and much more.
