PH Meters
If a job requires details on the PH of a material or substance then a PH meter will likely be needed. PH stands for "potential hydrogen" and a PH meter will tell you how Basic or Acidic a sample is. Some can only test liquids while others can test soil, food, and other things. Many people are only familiar with testing water in a swimming pool, or drinking water, however PH meters are frequently used in laboratories, food processing plants, aquariums, and other industries. These devices range in features and accuracy, some can even compensate for temperature changes (which cause a change in PH). Certain PH meters are meant to take a quick measurement, while others can take measurements over time and log data.
