Color Meters

A Color Meter (or Colorimeter) makes it possible for an individual to accurately measure color. Most use light, tristimulus filters (or colored LED"s), and a liquid to determine absorption level. There are various different types of Color Meters and as such their accuracy, features, & functions can vary greatly. While some simply measure color, other can measure illuminance, foot-candle, and light flux. Certain models can log colors for later reference, test colors in a wider band of the light spectrum, and even compare samples. They are most often used by designers, manufacturers, printers, & painters.
