HSS-E Drill Bits

HSS-E Drill Bits are used for drilling into hard metals and enduring very high temperatures all while maintaining hardness. They are similar to HSS (high speed steel) drill bits, but they also contain about 5% - 8% cobalt. The benefit is a higher resistance to heat, the drawback is a more brittle drill bit. HSS-E drill bits can be used on cast iron, stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, non-ferrous metals and more. You may see HSS-E drill bits displayed as HSSE, both mean the same thing.
