Magnetometers & EMF Detectors
Magnetometers & EMF Detectors can be used to detect the strength the direction of magnetic fields. They can display this reading in a variety of different ways, however outputs in Gauss (G) and milliTesla (mT) are popular. A Magnetometer can detect static (DC) magnetic fields like those generated by permanent rare-earth magnets. Or they can detect dynamic (AC) electromagnetic fields (EMFs). Some devices can detect both DC and AC magnetic fields. Strong magnetic fields can interfere with equipment or devices so a Magnetometer can help you find and eliminate the source. Magnetometers & EMF Detectors are also used by geologists, archeologists, electrical engineers, and more. Yes, these are the same devices you'll see on popular "ghost hunting" shows.
