Sound Meters
Sound meters, sometimes known as decibel meters, can test noise levels to help mitigate hearing damage, or sound contamination. This type of equipment comes in a multitude of varieties and each sound meter has it's own list of features. For example, some decibel meters can simply read noise level at a given moment. Others can log the noise levels over time, tell you the geographic location, and even work at a wider band of frequencies. Class 1 sound meters are extremely accurate, precision instruments, and are are typically used for highly specialized tasks. Class 2 are less accurate and are normally suitable for most other sound data gathering jobs.
