Q: What's the diameter of the opening on a Perma Lubricator?

A: Perma lubricators have a opening diameter of R1/4.

Q: How does the Perma lubricator dispense grease / oil?

A: Classic, Futura, Flex, and Nova series lubricators operate via electrochemical drive unit. Star series lubricators operate via a variety of electromechanical drive units.

Q: Can the Perma lubricators be used under water?

A: Classic lubricators are suitable for fully underwater use. Flex lubricators are suitable for underwater use only for limited submersion periods.

Q: What temperature range can the Perma lubricators work within?

A: Classic and Futura lubricators operate at between 32 °F to 104°F / 0°C to 40 °C.
Flex lubricators can operate between -4 °F to 140 °F / -20 °C to 60 °C.
Star lubricators operate between -4 °F to 140 °F / -20 °C to 60 °C with standard alkaline battery and -40 °F to 140 °F / -40 °C to 60 °C with low temperature lithium battery.

Q: Can the Perma Lubricators be refilled?

A: No, Perma lubricators cannot be refilled, but Star lubricator canisters can be replaced independently of their reusable drive unit and support flange.

Q: What do the numbers mean on the top of the Perma Flex dial?

A: They represent the discharge period in months. You can select a period of between 1 and 12 months.

Q: What does the LC mean in the Perma Star LC?

A: The LC means Lubricant Canister.

Q: Does the Perma Star LC come with any accessories?

A: No, it will come with just the canister and the lubricant. You'll need to purchase a drive unit, battery, and support flange separately.

Q: How long do the batteries last in the Perma Star Vario drive units?

A: They last for one dispensing period & need to be replaced every time the lubricant canister is replaced.

Q: Why are the activator screws for the Perma Classic & Futura different colors?

A: The different colors indicate the lubricant dispensing period. Yellow = 1 month, Green = 3 months, Red = 6 months, and Grey = 12 months. So, for example, if you activate a Perma Futura with a Red activator screw it will dispense all of the lubricant in 6 months.
